Microneedling

Reveal Smoother, Younger-Looking Skin with Microneedling

Experience advanced skin rejuvenation with Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy. This clinically proven treatment works by stimulating your skin’s natural healing response, triggering the production of collagen and elastin to visibly renew and strengthen your skin from within.
Key Benefits:
  • Softens fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance
  • Improves the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, and pigmentation
  • Minimises the look of enlarged pores
  • Smooths uneven skin texture and boosts skin clarity
  • Evens out skin tone and enhances natural radiance
  • Leaves your skin looking healthier, firmer, and refreshed
How It Works:

Microneedling uses a device with fine, sterile needles to create tiny, controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These micro-channels trigger the body’s natural repair process, stimulating collagen and elastin production. The result is firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin. When combined with clinical grade serums or PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin), the skin absorbs even more healing nutrients, enhancing results further.

    • Recommended sessions: 3–6 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, plus maintenance for best results
    • Treatment time: Approximately 45 minutes
    • Downtime: Minimal, skin may appear slightly red or sensitive for 24–48 hours

Pre-Care

Avoid sun exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight for 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. No sunbeds or active tan, your treatment may be refused if your skin is too sun-exposed.

Pause active skincare: Stop using retinoids, acids (AHAs/BHAs), scrubs, and vitamin C for 5 to 7 days beforehand to prevent irritation.

Hold off on blood thinners: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for a few days unless prescribed, as they can increase bruising.

Wait if your skin is irritated: Postpone treatment if you have active acne, open wounds, cold sores, or any skin infections in the area.

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days before your appointment to support healing and better results.

Avoid alcohol: Skip alcohol for at least 24 hours prior as it can increase sensitivity and bruising.

No waxing or hair removal creams: Avoid these on the treatment area for 5 to 7 days before your appointment.

Come with clean skin: Arrive with a freshly cleansed face and no makeup, moisturiser, sunscreen, or skincare products.

Wait after other treatments: Wait at least 14 days after anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, or other aesthetic treatments. Let your practitioner know if you’ve had anything recently, as your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

Post-Care

Avoid touching your face: Keep your hands off the treated area to prevent irritation or infection, especially in the first few hours.

No makeup or skincare: Avoid makeup and all skincare products (except what your practitioner provides or recommends) for at least 24 hours.

Skip active ingredients: Do not use retinoids, acids (like AHAs/BHAs), vitamin C, or exfoliants for 7 days post-treatment.

Stay out of the sun: Avoid direct sun exposure for at least a week. Use a high SPF once your practitioner says it’s safe to apply sunscreen again.

Avoid heat and sweating: No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts for 24 to 48 hours, as heat can worsen inflammation.

Don’t pick or peel: If your skin flakes or peels, let it come off naturally. Picking can lead to scarring or infection.

Use gentle products: Stick to a mild cleanser, the aftercare recovery balm provided, and a plain moisturiser unless otherwise advised by your practitioner.

Keep skin hydrated: Drink plenty of water to support healing from the inside out.

Avoid alcohol: It can dehydrate your skin and increase inflammation, so it’s best to skip it for at least 24 hours.

Sleep on a clean pillowcase: Change your pillowcase the night of your treatment and avoid sleeping face-down.

Frequently asked questions

Is microneedling painful?

Our skin needling procedure is the most comfortable on the market, so much so that you won’t need any anaesthetic cream. Most people describe it as a light scratching sensation.

Is microneedling right for my skin type?

This is an effective treatment for a variety of skin types and concerns, but we will always check for contraindications, such as active eczema, keloid scarring or abnormal wound healing. One of the reasons we begin any treatment with a consultation is to assess your skin and build your treatment plan around it.

Is there a risk of infection?

Infection to the treated area is extremely unlikely as all microneedling procedures are carried out with sterile equipment in clinical conditions. We will give you detailed aftercare instructions to continue to protect your skin.
