Chemical Peel and Resurfacers

Refresh and Renew Your Skin with Targeted Peels & Resurfacers

Chemical peels and resurfacing treatments gently exfoliate the skin to improve texture, tone, and clarity. Suitable for most skin types, they’re especially effective for concerns like acne, sun damage, pigmentation, and fine lines. These treatments help smooth and refine the skin, leaving it fresh, radiant, and revitalised.
Key Benefits:
  • Smooths skin texture and refines pores
  • Reduces acne and clears congestion
  • Minimises pigmentation and evens skin tone
  • Softens fine lines and diminishes sun damage
  • Boosts radiance and skin clarity
  • Supports long-term skin renewal and overall skin health
How It Works:
A specialised blend of acids is carefully applied to the skin to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. This controlled exfoliation stimulates your skin’s natural renewal process, promoting collagen production and revealing fresher, smoother, and more even-toned skin underneath. Regular treatments enhance skin texture, reduce pigmentation, and support overall skin health.
Treatment Details:

 • Recommended sessions: 3 to 6, depending on skin concerns
 • Treatment time: Approximately 45 minutes
 • Downtime: Mild redness or flaking may occur for 2–5 days, depending on the strength of the peel

Pre-Care

Avoid sun exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight for 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. No sunbeds or active tan, your treatment may be refused if your skin is too sun-exposed.

Pause active skincare: Stop using retinoids, acids (AHAs/BHAs), scrubs, and vitamin C for 5 to 7 days beforehand to prevent irritation.

Hold off on blood thinners: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for a few days unless prescribed, as they can increase bruising.

Wait if your skin is irritated: Postpone treatment if you have active acne, open wounds, cold sores, or any skin infections in the area.

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days before your appointment to support healing and better results.

Avoid alcohol: Skip alcohol for at least 24 hours prior as it can increase sensitivity and bruising.

No waxing or hair removal creams: Avoid these on the treatment area for 5 to 7 days before your appointment.

Come with clean skin: Arrive with a freshly cleansed face and no makeup, moisturiser, sunscreen, or skincare products.

Wait after other treatments: Wait at least 14 days after anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, or other aesthetic treatments. Let your practitioner know if you’ve had anything recently, as your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

Post-Care

Avoid touching your face: Keep your hands off the treated area to prevent irritation or infection, especially in the first few hours.

No makeup or skincare: Avoid makeup and all skincare products (except what your practitioner provides or recommends) for at least 24 hours.

Skip active ingredients: Do not use retinoids, acids (like AHAs/BHAs), vitamin C, or exfoliants for 7 days post-treatment.

Stay out of the sun: Avoid direct sun exposure for at least a week. Use a high SPF once your practitioner says it’s safe to apply sunscreen again.

Avoid heat and sweating: No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts for 24 to 48 hours, as heat can worsen inflammation.

Don’t pick or peel: If your skin flakes or peels, let it come off naturally. Picking can lead to scarring or infection.

Use gentle products: Stick to a mild cleanser, the aftercare recovery balm provided, and a plain moisturiser unless otherwise advised by your practitioner.

Keep skin hydrated: Drink plenty of water to support healing from the inside out.

Avoid alcohol: It can dehydrate your skin and increase inflammation, so it’s best to skip it for at least 24 hours.

Sleep on a clean pillowcase: Change your pillowcase the night of your treatment and avoid sleeping face-down.

Frequently asked questions

Will a chemical peel hurt?

You may feel a mild tingling, warmth, or light stinging during the treatment, but it’s usually very tolerable. Most clients describe it as more of a slight discomfort than pain. Stronger peels may cause more sensation, but your skin therapist will guide you through and choose the right level for your skin.

What should I expect after a chemical peel?

After your treatment, your skin may feel tight or appear slightly red, similar to mild sunburn. Light peeling or flaking can occur over the next few days. This is completely normal as your skin renews itself. You’ll need to avoid sun exposure and stick to gentle skincare while your skin heals.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on your skin goals. Some people see noticeable results after just one session, especially with light peels. However, for concerns like acne, pigmentation, or deeper fine lines, a course of 3 to 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart is typically recommended for the best results.
