Following an in-person consultation to confirm your suitability for treatment, small, precise amounts of Botulinum Toxin are carefully injected into targeted facial muscles. Pre-Care
To get the best results and minimise the risk of side effects:
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
- Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medication for 48 hours prior (unless prescribed by your GP), as these can increase bruising.
- Avoid high-intensity exercise on the day of your treatment.
- Ensure your skin is clean and free from makeup before arriving.
- If you are unwell, have an active skin infection, or have recently had a vaccine, please contact me to reschedule.
Post-Care
Please follow the aftercare advice for Botox/Anti-Wrinkle injections:
- Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection.
- Avoid extremes of temperature for the next 24 hours; opt for a tepid shower or bath rather than hot.
- Avoid exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.
- Do not go swimming or use saunas or steam rooms for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid excessive alcohol on the day of the treatment.
- Do not lie flat or face down for at least 4 hours after treatment; remain upright to help reduce product migration.
- Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours, as this may affect results.
- Avoid any further cosmetic procedures to the treated area for 2 weeks following treatment, including permanent makeup and skin treatments.
